Job Summary

  • We are seeking a driven and commercially minded business development officer to support our growth across Nigeria. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, building relationships, and turning market insights into measurable business outcomes.
  • The Business Development Officer will work closely with the COO, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to expand our customer base, strengthen partnerships, and support the execution of sales and marketing strategies across the fresh produce and food distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of business development and marketing strategies
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and basic financial assessments
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and referrals
  • Prepare sales pitches, proposals, and client presentations
  • Support negotiations and follow-ups leading to deal closure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, and performance reports

Requirements
Level of Experience:

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, management, or a related field.

Core Competencies Required:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Sales, negotiation, and relationship management ability
  • Market research and analytical thinking
  • Basic financial and commercial awareness
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
