We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Business Development Officer
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining client relationships with IOCs, E&P companies, and vendors.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, such as new projects, partnerships, or market expansion.
- Leading or supporting the tender and bidding process (preparing proposals, reports, and presentations).
- Ensuring compliance with QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and other industry regulations.
Core Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Petroleum Management, or Engineering. A master's degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.
- Key Relationships: Proven network and ability to connect with key decision-makers in IOCs, National Oil Companies (NOCs), and other related stakeholders.
- Candidates must have a strong, proven track record of securing high-value, complex B2B deals, particularly with International Oil Companies (IOCs).
- Experience: 3-6 years of experience in business development, sales, technical sales, client relationship management, industry-specific business development, or commercial roles within the oil and gas sector (upstream, midstream, or downstream).
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the oil and gas industry, specifically in petroleum products, supply chain management, or engineered solutions.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Business Development: Ability to identify, bid for, and close high-value partnerships, joint ventures, or tenders (RFP/RFQ/EOI).
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to conduct market analysis and develop strategic plans to drive business growth.
- Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM tools, and sometimes specialized software.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and sell technical solutions or services within the industry.
- Communication & Negotiation:Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills to negotiate complex contracts.
