Job Title: Inventory & Stock Controller

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • This role ensures every item received, transferred, sold, installed, or returned is properly documented and accounted for.
  • The Inventory & Stock Controller is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, security, and movement of all inventory across the showroom, warehouse, and delivery process.
  • The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and understands that inventory accuracy is critical to delivering an exceptional luxury customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate inventory reports, analyze stock trends, monitor slow-moving items, and provide recommendations to improve stock management.
  • Take full ownership of inventory accuracy across all warehouses and the showroom.
  • Collaborate with theSales, Logistics, and Installation, teams to ensure seamless inventory planning and execution.
  • Support internal audits and ensure compliance with inventory policies, SOPs, and accountability processes.
  • Maintain high warehouse standards by ensuring products are properly organized, handled, and protected from damage or loss.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance inventory control, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all inventory records are updated accurately and in real time within the inventory management system.
  • Oversee the receiving, inspection, documentation, tagging, and proper storage of all incoming stock.
  • Monitor and reconcile all stock movements, including transfers, sales, deliveries, installations, returns, and damaged items.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • 3–5 years' experience in Inventory Control, Warehouse Management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes and stock reconciliation.
  • Experience managing high-value inventory, preferably in furniture, luxury retail, interiors, or FMCG, is an added advantage.
