Job Title: Fruit Mill Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Reports to: Production Manager

Main Function

• The FruitMill Production Officer is responsible for daily production activities at Fruitmil, ensuring efficient processing of products such as tigernut juice, beetcane, sugarcane juice, watermelon juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, ice cream, yoghurt, yoghurt with fura, and parfait.
• The role ensures that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety in line with food processing regulations.

Role Responsibilities
Production Operations:

• Ensure timely production of juices, dairy products, and desserts according to demand.
• Follow production schedules and workflows to meet targets.
• Ensure proper use of machinery and equipment during production.

Quality Control & Assurance:

• Ensure all products meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Monitor raw materials (fruits, dairy, additives) for freshness and quality.
• Conduct routine checks during processing to maintain consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
• Enforce compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP practices).

Hygiene & Food Safety Compliance:

• Maintain strict cleanliness in the production area at all times.
• Ensure staff adhere to personal hygiene and food handling procedures.
• Monitor sanitation of equipment before and after production.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (NAFDAC, local health authorities).

Inventory & Raw Material Management:

• Monitor stock levels of raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of fruits, dairy, and ingredients.
• Minimize waste through efficient usage and proper storage.
• Track usage and report shortages or discrepancies.

Equipment & Maintenance:

• Ensure all production equipment is functioning properly.
• Report faults and coordinate repairs or maintenance.
• Ensure proper handling and routine servicing of machines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science & Technology, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in food or beverage production (juice/dairy preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Basic understanding of production machinery.
