About the Role

• A fast-growing Agro-Allied Company isseeking a detail-oriented Finance & Cost Control Officer to support project financial management, budgeting, and cost monitoring across construction, agribusiness, and operational projects.
• The role ensures accurate tracking of project costs, financial discipline, and effective budget control to support profitability and efficient resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities
Project Finance & Budgeting:

• Track actual spend against approved budgets and highlight variances
• Prepare and monitor project budgets across operational and capital expenditure lines
• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and project financial reports
• Support development of financial forecasts and cash flow projections

Cost Control & Analysis:

• Implement cost control systems across projects and departments
• Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions
• Monitor construction, agricultural, and operational costs for efficiency and accuracy
• Support cost optimization initiatives across business units

Accounting & Financial Systems:

• Maintain accurate financial records using accounting systems (QuickBooks/Zoho or similar)
• Ensure proper documentation and coding of all project-related expenditures
• Support invoice verification, payment processing, and cost allocation
• Assist in reconciliation of accounts and financial data validation

Project & Operational Support:

• Support financial input for contractor payments and project evaluations
• Review procurement and expenditure requests for budget alignment
• Work closely with project teams to ensure cost compliance and budget adherence
• Ensure financial documentation readiness for audits and donor/investor reviews

Requirements
Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, cost control, or project accounting
• Experience in construction, agribusiness, infrastructure, or project-based environments preferred

Technical Skills:

• Understanding of project costing and variance analysis
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level required)
• Strong budgeting, cost tracking, and financial analysis skills

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and field operations
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
