Job Title: Field Sales Specialist, Chinese Trade Lane

The Position

  • Develop and administer sales sub function plans and processes to deliver business growth, profitability and enhance customer retention for a defined area/ territory in line with business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies
  • Analyze extensively sales, revenues and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas
  • Develop and formulate sales plans covering sales forecasts, revenues, costs and budgets for a defined area/ territory
  • Identify improvement areas based on pipeline reporting in collaboration with sales effectiveness
  • Identify, establish contact and maintain relationship and agree with external parties to accept complete proposals and programs where there is little interest in cooperating or participating
  • Understand and analyze customer strategies, contract negotiations, cross selling activities and supply chain management processes
  • Analyze extensively and achieve customer retention, business growth and profitability for the area/ territory
  • Research and evaluate market trends and customer requirements and support translation of products/ services into solutions to meet their needs
  • Prioritize and coordinate for development and implementation of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing and distribution plans for the territory/area
  • Deliver critical pricing policies, monitor profitability against targets and manage price re-negotiation
  • Analyze sales support processes and tools to ensure sales force effectiveness
  • Draft plans to adapt procedures or re-allocate resources to improve the overall performance and sales results

Stakeholders:

  • Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers
  • Connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers
  • May convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
  • Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance to line managers and employees

Management Responsibility:

  • Individual contributor who may manage two or fewer employees
  • Coach and review the work of lower level professionals
  • May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.

Experience Level

  • More than 4 years.
