We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Material Controller (Sea Eagle)

Location: Warri, Delta

Job Purpose / Objective

  • Manage offshore warehouse and material logistics operations ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient supply chain support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain traceability of all issued and returned items.
  • Request for Specialized Preservation of materials when necessary.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and HSE teams to ensure seamless material support.
  • Maintain Log of Non-conforming material (incorrect material, incorrect quantities, incomplete documentation/ certificates, damaged material or failed inspection) to track aging, resolution/ decision and action taken.
  • Work Regularly with the Procurement team i.e. Buyers, Inventory analyst and Expediters to maintain accurate inventory level i.e. min/max and reorder level.
  • Ensure GI (goods issue) is done for reservations that have been confirmed by Warehouse Assistant.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure all differences generated during internal and external audits are reconciled.
  • Issue materials to maintenance and operations teams based on approved requests.
  • Track and report on material movements between offshore and onshore locations.
  • Inspect materials for damage, conformity, and compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare manifests and documentation for materials transfer via supply vessels or helicopters.
  • Monitor Regularly and review slow moving stock and call for end users review to validate.
  • Maintain record of items in “dangerous goods” category and ensure that the information on the bill of lading (UN number, label) corresponds with the data in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and segregation of materials in line with safety and operational standards.
  • Extract, analyse and validate weekly and monthly KPI reports from SAP and calculate against SLA.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols and compliance with offshore safety regulations.
  • Ensure attendance of daily and monthly HSE meetings.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback or corrective actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation including stock registers, delivery notes, inspection reports, and disposal records.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure Basic Preservation is executed for maintenance spares by Warehouse Assistant and confirm.
  • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies, offshore safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that records of goods received, goods issued, and shipment records are updated in SAPMM on time.
  • Generate download of Warehouse stock from SAP and ensure Warehouse assistant carry out internal stock audit.
  • Carry Out Proper Supervision to ensure Housekeeping in all the warehouses
  • Ensure Warehouse Assistant follows through on entering reservations on manual register and making sure Picklist and delivery notes are sign-off.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of material received and carry out GR (goods receipt) to prevent stock in transit.
  • Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing for continuous operations.
  • Prepare reports for management on warehouse performance, stock levels, and operational issues.
  • Compile and maintain manual or SAP records of material inventory status or locations of materials.
  • Lead and manage warehouse personnel, including training new staff on safety and operational procedures.
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking and control using our ERP system (SAP).
  • Ensure Direct Charge materials are received and dispatched to the end-users and ensure proper documentation.
  • Check SAP daily to print out all request and hand over to Warehouse Assistant to pick.
  • Ensure that the Shelf-life of items in stocks are marked with applicable expiry date and the system record updated with manufacturer batch and shelf-life information.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., cranes).
  • Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.
  • Receive incoming materials and verify against delivery documentation.
  • Ensure attendance of bi-monthly CP and Supply Base huddle.
  • Ensure monthly Supply Base and Preservation report is sent.
  • Support audits and inspections by providing accurate and complete records.
  • Liaise with onshore logistics and supply chain teams to coordinate timely delivery and backload of materials.
  • Follow-up and work with appropriate buyer and/or technical authority on resolution/decision on non-conforming material to avoid material remaining blocked in the quarantine staging area.
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
  • Identify opportunities for improving warehouse processes and inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure materials are handled safely by Warehouse Assistant through adequate supervision.
  • Supervise Material Handlers and ensure alignment with operational standards.
  • Coordinate logistics for offshore deliveries and shipments, often involving helicopters or supply vessels.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certification in offshore safety (BOSIET/OSP) is required.
  • HND / B.Sc. in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in offshore warehouse/material coordination, preferably on
  • FPSOs or offshore platforms.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in SAP-MM (Materials Management) and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong understanding of offshore logistics, material traceability, and safety protocols.
