We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nautical Instructor

Location: Sapele / Warri Delta

Job Description

• For logistic reasons, the position will favour candidates residing within Warri or Sapele or other areas close to those vicinities.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in classroom training and be able to deliver high-quality instruction to students. This person must also have 5 years’ experience with a minimum of BSc in Engineering or Marine Engineering .
• Due to increasing activities, our client urgently desires services a highly experienced Expatriate or local Nautical Instructor, preferably a retired Master with a Certificate of Competency (CoC), to join our maritime training institute
• A previous experience in the same role in the Maritime School will be an advantage.

The job responsibilities for this role are:

• Develop and update course materials to meet STCW and regulatory requirements
• Deliver classroom training and assessments for maritime students
• Conduct assessments and evaluations of student performance
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes
• Collaborate with other instructors to ensure consistency and quality of training

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of STCW regulations and maritime industry standards
• Minimum 5 years of classroom training experience in a maritime training program
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs
• Retired Master with valid CoC
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

• -amiliarity with Nigerian maritime regulations and industry practices.
• Experience with online learning platforms and digital tools
