Job Description
- A Cost Management Officer, optimizes company profitability by controlling expenses, analyzing financial variances, and developing budgeting frameworks.
- They are as detailed on report to senior management, track project budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and provide actionable financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Forecasting:Assist in creating, implementing, and monitoring budgets, alongside providing financial forecasts.
- Efficiency Improvement:Identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce waste by reviewing processes and vendor contracts.
- Asset Management:Coordinate inventory, material requests, and verify financial project calculations.
- Cost Control:Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems and procedures.
- Analysis & Reporting:Perform deep-dive analysis on operational expenses, variances, and cost drivers to report to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Certifications:Professional certification like a CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze complex financial data, model scenarios, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Experience:3-5 years of experience in cost management, financial planning, or analysis.
- Technical Skills:Strong proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP).

- Reduction in budget variances.
- Increased efficiency in expense reporting and approvals.
- Accurate, timely monthly financial reporting
