They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Locations: Port Harcourt - Rivers; Warri, Ughelli - Delta & Benin City - Edo

Key Responsibilities

  • Support continuous improvement of patient safety and healthcare outcomes.
  • Deliver evidence-based clinical care in accordance with established medical standards and hospital protocols.
  • Provide specialist consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients within your area of specialization.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records.
  • Contribute to the hospital's reputation for excellence through exceptional patient care and professional conduct.
  • Collaborate effectively with other consultants, medical officers, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical personnel where applicable.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary case reviews.
  • Perform specialized procedures and surgeries relevant to your specialty.
  • Participate in emergency call duties and clinical governance activities as required.

Requirements

  • Commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and ethical medical practice.
  • Relevant specialist registration and certification.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fellowship qualification from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN), West African College of Surgeons (WACS), West African College of Physicians (WACP), or internationally recognized equivalent.
  • Current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • 3 – 5 years post-fellowship experience in a reputable hospital or healthcare institution.
  • Experience with modern diagnostic and healthcare technologies will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex clinical cases within your specialty.
  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile:
We are particularly interested in specialists who:

  • Possess excellent surgical and procedural skills (where applicable).
  • Are willing to work in Port Harcourt, Warri, Benin City, or Ughelli.
  • Have a strong track record of clinical excellence.
  • Are passionate about delivering quality patient-centered care.
  • Can contribute to service development and clinical innovation.
