Job Description
- This role requires specialized proficiency in Hydraulic Systems, Engine Overhaul, and Transmission/Power Train repair.
- The successful candidate will ensure our equipment remains operational at project sites, minimizing downtime and ensuring the highest safety standards.
- We are seeking a highly skilled Caterpillar Mechanic to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the diagnostic, repair, and preventative maintenance of Caterpillar heavy machinery.
Responsibilities
- Hydraulic System Expert: Inspect, test, and repair high-pressure hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, cylinders, and control valves.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and adhere strictly to site safety regulations during all repair and maintenance activities.
- Site Operations Support: Provide rapid technical support to project sites to ensure that technical staff and operators maintain high operational standards.
- Technical Diagnostics: Perform expert-level troubleshooting on CAT heavy equipment, utilizing diagnostic tools (CAT ET/SIS) to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures.
- Engine and Power Train Specialist: Execute complete engine rebuilds, top-end repairs, and transmission/final drive troubleshooting for various CAT models.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks (oil changes, filter replacements, fluid analysis) to extend the lifecycle of heavy equipment.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience specifically with Caterpillar heavy equipment.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Operational Mindset: Ability to work in demanding site environments and maintain high standards of technical reporting.
- Proven experience with CAT Hydraulic Systems (high-pressure circuits and schematics).
- Demonstrated expertise in CAT Engine diagnosis and repair.
- Proficiency in Transmission and Power Train systems.
