Mikano International Limited is a Nigerian company in the power generation, real estate and construction sectors. This company offers sales, maintenance, assembly and distribution of power generation products, real estate development, and sales of construction equipment.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Operation Manager

Location: Ogba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Assistant Operations Manager supports the execution and control of daily operations related to generator installation, maintenance, and repair services.
  • The role ensures efficient service delivery, proper coordination of field teams, and strict follow-up on job execution, timelines, and system updates.
  • The position acts as a key link between field operations and the Central Operations Center (COC), ensuring operational discipline, visibility, and timely closure of all assigned activities.

Responsibilities
Operational Execution & Coordination:

  • Support daily operations across generator servicing, installations, overhauls, and emergency call-outs.
  • Coordinate field technicians, schedules, tools, and spare parts to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in planning and execution of operational activities.

Job Tracking & Control:

  • Monitor job lifecycle from assignment to completion and closure.
  • Ensure all jobs are updated in the system with accurate status and timelines.
  • Follow up on pending and delayed jobs and ensure timely resolution.
  • Escalate operational issues and delays to the Operations Manager when required.

Coordination with COC:

  • Work closely with the COC to ensure real-time tracking and visibility of all jobs.
  • Provide timely updates and feedback to support centralized monitoring.
  • Support validation of job completion and closure in coordination with COC

Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and report key operational KPIs (SLA, MTTR, backlog, delays).
  • Prepare periodic operational updates as required.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness in all operational records

Inventory & Cost Control Support:

  • Assist in spare parts planning and stock control.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives and efficient resource utilization

Resource & Workload Management:

  • Assist in allocating technicians based on workload and priorities.
  • Monitor team productivity and highlight overload or underutilization.
  • Support efficient use of manpower, tools, and spare parts

Service Quality & Customer Support:

  • Support resolution of customer issues and escalations.
  • Ensure service delivery meets agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients when required

Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel and gas generators (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting).
  • Experience in coordinating/training field teams is essential.
  • 8–10 years’ experience in generator services or technical operations.

Salary
N600,000 – N800,000 per month.
