Staff Data Platform Engineer

???? Description

• Own the evolution of Zocdoc's data platform across data engineering and product engineering.
• Define data movement across lakehouse/warehouse with contracts, APIs, governance.
• Build platform interfaces to make data trustworthy and usable.
• Lead cross-functional architectural initiatives and influence data standards.

???? Requirements

• 8+ years in data engineering, platform engineering, or backend platform development.
• Designing data contracts, schema governance, or producer/consumer standards at scale.
• Strong Python and SQL expertise with hands-on experience building scalable data frameworks.
• Experience with Spark (Databricks/EMR) and lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake, Iceberg).
• Experience with Snowflake data warehouses and understanding of performance patterns.
• Familiarity with schema registry systems and schema evolution in streaming (Kafka).
