Job Purpose

• The role ensures all electrical systems are safe, reliable, energy-efficient, and compliant with project specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, specification, procurement support, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems for an Ethane-to-Polymers (E2P) plant.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering & Design:

• Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, cable schedules, cable routing layouts, lighting layouts, earthing and lightning protection drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable engineering standards.
• Develop and review electrical design documents, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Perform electrical load flow, short-circuit, motor starting, voltage drop, and protection coordination studies.
• Design and review power distribution systems for process plants.

Power Generation & Distribution:
Provide engineering support for:

• High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
• Transformers.
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
• Motor Control Centers (MCCs).
• Electrical substations and switchgear.

Equipment & Vendor Management:

• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and material requisitions.
• Review vendor drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs) and review vendor proposals.

Construction, Installation & Commissioning:

• Provide technical support during installation and construction activities.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization, and plant start-up activities.
• Review construction method statements and installation procedures.

Maintenance & Reliability:

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical failures.
• Recommend improvements to enhance electrical system reliability and efficiency.
• Monitor equipment performance and lifecycle requirements.
• Support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15years of experience in electrical engineering.
