• Own the Daml Canton library development: vaults, RBAC, credentials, messaging gateway.
• Lead year-1 Reference Implementations: privacy-preserving DEX, lending, cross-chain settlement.
• Implement OZ Daml CIP-56/86/103/104; coordinate with Digital Asset and ChainSafe.
• Run client roadmap and milestones with Digital Asset, Canton Foundation, and ChainSafe.
• Collaborate with auditors and security researchers on threat models, audits, and reviews.
• Use AI-native workflows; build agents and skills; apply AI to security work and share learnings.

Location

OpenZeppelin is fully remote; candidates must be located within UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones to be considered.

You have

• Production Daml fluency: templates, choices, multi-party authorization.
• 3+ years of UTXO-based protocol development.
• 3+ years DeFi engineering in production (AMMs, vaults, cross-chain settlement).
• A security-first mindset; adversarial thinking; prior auditing/breaking experience.
• Library/SDK API design experience; reusable, developer-friendly APIs.
• Cross-chain interoperability exposure with major protocols.
• Institutional/compliance design fluency: credentials, attestation, custody flows.
• Fluency in client-facing communication (English).
