We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Process Chemist / Formulator (Home & Personal Care)

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Sanitation & Safety: Maintain rigorous hygiene and housekeeping standards within the compounding area to avoid batch cross-contamination.
  • Process Machine Operation: Safely set up, monitor, and operate specialized processing equipment, including mixers, agitators, homogenizers, and emulsifiers.
  • Batch Formulation & Mixing: Accurately measure, dispense, and compound chemical raw materials into high-quality bulk products based on strict formulation sheets.
  • Yield Optimization & Waste Control: Monitor material inputs diligently to maximize production yield and eliminate raw material wastage during the batching process.
  • Quality Assurance Compliance: Perform in-process checks (viscosity, pH, temperature, texture) to ensure every bulk batch meets company standards before transferring it to the packaging lines.

Required Profile & Qualifications

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of chemical raw materials, safe handling of active ingredients, blending calculations, and operating industrial mixing equipment.
  • Experience: Strictly 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a Batch Operator, Compounder, or Production Chemist within a Cosmetics, Personal Care, Soap, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
  • Education: HND or BSc in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Industry Guardrail: Candidates whose experience is solely within the Food, Beverage, or Bakery processing sectors will not be considered.
