Job Title: Personal Assistant to MD / CEO

Location: Abuja

Job Summary

  • The incumbent will coordinate executive activities, monitor strategic initiatives, facilitate stakeholder engagements, support marketing campaigns, and contribute to business development efforts aimed at increasing the Bank's market share and profitability.
  • The Personal Assistant (PA) to the Managing Director will provide high-level executive, administrative, marketing, and business development support to the MD/CEO.
  • The role serves as a strategic liaison between the MD, customers, business partners, regulators, and internal departments while supporting the Bank's deposit mobilization, customer acquisition, brand visibility, and business growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidential records and sensitive corporate information.
  • Draft and prepare reports, presentations, speeches, correspondence, and briefing notes.
  • Maintain relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, NGOs, religious organizations, and community groups.
  • Identify opportunities for deposit mobilization and customer acquisition.
  • Support initiatives aimed at increasing the Bank's customer base and market penetration.
  • Manage the MD's calendar, appointments, meetings, and official engagements.
  • Coordinate corporate communication activities on behalf of the MD.
  • Assist the MD in developing and implementing marketing and business development strategies.
  • Assist in developing strategic partnerships with corporate organizations, associations, cooperatives, and institutions.
  • Prepare marketing intelligence and business performance reports for management review.
  • Coordinate customer visits, business meetings, and marketing presentations.
  • Ensure consistency in the Bank's corporate image and messaging.
  • Maintain cordial relationships with business partners and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in organizing seminars, exhibitions, customer forums, and promotional events.
  • Coordinate promotional campaigns, customer engagement activities, and business development programs.
  • Support the MD in sourcing and managing high-value deposit relationships.
  • Coordinate communications with the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, auditors, consultants, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Attend meetings and accurately record minutes, resolutions, and action points.
  • Follow up on implementation of management decisions and executive directives.
  • Assist in achieving the Bank's deposit and revenue growth targets.
  • Serve as a liaison between the MD and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and prioritize the MD's daily activities and business commitments.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on regulatory requests and management directives.
  • Support the execution of branding, publicity, and public relations initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Experience in banking, microfinance, financial services, or a regulated financial institution is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics, Mass Communication, or a related discipline.
  • Must have 6–10 years of experience in executive support, marketing, business development, or relationship management.
