Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary
- The Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment used in the production process.
- The role ensures that all machinery and mechanical systems operate efficiently to support continuous production at Vitafoam Nigeria Plc while adhering to safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Repairs
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines and mechanical systems.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure machines operate according to safety standards and regulations.
- Work closely with production staff and engineers to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Provide technical support during production processes.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Identify root causes of mechanical failures and implement effective solutions.
- Work with engineers and supervisors to improve machine reliability.
- Safety Compliance
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strictly for OND in Mechanical Engineering or related field only.
- Minimum of 5 years practical experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment (preferably foam or chemical manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulics
- and mechanical systems.
