They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Inventory Assistant

Location: Idumota, Lagos Island - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • The Inventory Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock movement, conducting stock counts, and ensuring all inventory transactions are properly recorded using inventory management software.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

  • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Receive, count, and verify incoming stock.
  • Record inventory transactions accurately in the company’s inventory management software.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
  • Monitor stock levels and report low-stock, damaged, excess, or slow-moving inventory.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse location records.
  • Monitor inventory movement and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist with stock transfers between warehouses and stores.

Reporting & Systems:

  • Support periodic inventory audits and reconciliations.
  • Maintain data integrity within inventory software.
  • Generate inventory and stock movement reports.
  • Update inventory records promptly and accurately.

Team Collaboration:

  • Support management with inventory-related analysis and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Sales, Procurement, Accounting, and Operations teams.
  • Communicate inventory issues and stock availability promptly.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The Inventory Assistant will be evaluated based on:

  • Timely updating of inventory records.
  • Timely completion of assigned audits and reconciliations.
  • Compliance with company inventory procedures.
  • Inventory accuracy rate.
  • Proper documentation of inventory movements.
  • Accuracy of stock count reports.
  • Reduction in stock discrepancies.

Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • 1–2 years experience in inventory management, stock control, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
  • Experience in wholesale, retail, distribution, FMCG, or trading companies is an advantage.
  • Minimum of OND (Ordinary National Diploma).
  • Degree holders may also apply.
  • HND holders are strongly encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to generate and interpret inventory reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good knowledge of inventory management software such as:
    • QuickBooks Inventory
    • Sage
    • Odoo
    • Other inventory management platforms
    • ERP Systems
    • Zoho Inventory

  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: N100,000 – N150,000 monthly (based on qualifications and experience).
