We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Internal Control Lead

Job Location: Ogere, Remo - Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary


  • The Internal Control Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring internal control systems across the organization to ensure operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a solid background in internal control, audit, or risk management—preferably within the FMCG or Agro-Allied sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal control policies, procedures, and frameworks.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and identify control gaps across all business processes.
  • Review financial transactions and operational activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Lead investigations of control breaches, irregularities, or non-compliance issues.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen process controls and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Prepare and present internal control reports to management with recommendations for improvement.
  • Support external and internal audit exercises, ensuring all findings are promptly addressed.
  • Train staff on internal control processes and promote a strong culture of compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics, or related field with 3–5 years’ experience in internal control, audit, or risk management.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA (mandatory or strongly preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or Agro-Allied industry is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO, ICOFR).
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
