Fibre Engineer

Locations: Delta, Lagos and Oyo

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the NOC and other technical teams to resolve customer issues.
• Install and configure customer premises equipment (CPE), routers, and other network devices.
• Install, terminate, splice, and test fiber optic cables.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure and completed work.
• Respond promptly to network outages and emergency maintenance requests.
• Ensure all installations comply with company and industry standards.
• Conduct Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and power meter testing.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber networks.
• Perform site surveys and prepare technical reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fiber faults, signal loss, and connectivity issues.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of fiber splicing, OTDR testing, fusion splicing, and network troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Familiarity with GPON, FTTH, Ethernet, and IP networking.
• Ability to interpret network diagrams and fiber route maps.
• 1–3 years of experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
