Factory Assistant (Furniture Manufacturing) Job

Job Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters and machine operators with furniture production tasks.
• Prepare and move raw materials such as wood, boards, fittings, and tools within the factory.
• Support cutting, sanding, assembling, and finishing furniture components when required.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the factory floor, tools, and workstations.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to avoid damage or waste.
• Follow factory safety procedures and use protective equipment when required.
• Assist in packaging and preparing finished furniture products for delivery.
• Report equipment faults, material shortages, or safety concerns to supervisors.

Requirements

• 1 – 2 years of experience working in a factory, workshop, or furniture production environment.
• Basic understanding of woodworking tools and machinery.
