Engineer Storekeeper

Job Summary

• The storekeeper shall be responsible for the inventory management of the spares and maintenance materials in the Engineering store

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures related to maintenance, engineering and operation activities
• Involved in audit stock count activity to ensure that the store is functioning efficiently
• Maintain receipts, records and withdrawals of the stock items through oracle fusion
• Participate in maintenance safety training and guidance for engineering team members
• Ensure adequate record keeping and associated documentation and maintain inventory control
• Responsible for day – to day inventory management and stock control using oracle fusion (ERP) or and paper records
• Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report promptly
• Ensure materials/spare are checked in and out of store accurately and contemporaneously
• Keep work area clean, organized and free from hazards
• Any other job – related duties assigned from time to time
• Oversee and coordinate daily and monthly stock count activities

Requirements

• OND in Engineering/Business Administration or any related field, with competency in computer operation skills
• Relevant technical certification or trade qualification (NABTEB, City & Guilds)

Key Competencies:

• Strong Knowledge and skills on use of ERP like Oracle fusion
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawing and identify engineering spares.
