Job Title: Cosmetics Intern (Quality Assurance & Quality Control)

Location: Lagos (Remote)
Employment Type: Internship

About the Role

  • You will work closely with the Project Lead, Cosmetics, supporting quality activities across product development, testing, documentation, and manufacturing while gaining practical experience in the cosmetics industry.
  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Cosmetics Intern to join our Cosmetics Division. This internship is ideal for graduates with a science background who are passionate about cosmetics manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products against quality specifications.
  • Support compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and NAFDAC guidelines.
  • Support inspections of packaging materials and product labels for compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Help maintain QA/QC documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and testing reports.
  • Support laboratory testing including pH, viscosity, texture, appearance, and other quality assessments.
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvement and support implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in stability testing and quality monitoring throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production, and Regulatory Affairs during product development and launch.
  • Assist with product sampling, batch record reviews, and quality documentation.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control activities across cosmetics production.
  • Assist with supplier and contract manufacturer quality audits.

Requirements

  • Previous SIWES, internship, laboratory, manufacturing, or QA/QC experience is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Science, Cosmetic Science or any related scientific discipline.
  • Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality assurance principles, or NAFDAC regulations is desirable.
