We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Community Pharmacist

Location: Mushin, Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a licensed and customer-focused Community Pharmacist to oversee the operations of a community pharmacy located in Mushin (Lagos Mainland), ensure the safe and ethical dispensing of medications, provide pharmaceutical advice, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and professional standards governing pharmacy practice.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with physicians’ prescriptions.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve medication-related concerns professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of the pharmacy.
  • Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
  • Counsel patients on the safe use of prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, side effects, interactions, and storage.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order medications and supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
  • Participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and medication therapy management programs in the pharmacy’s community.
  • Responsible for profitable operations of the pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • NYSC completion certificate or exemption (where applicable).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm ) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).
  • Current license to practice issued by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Minimum of 2-5years’ experience in a community/wholesale’s pharmacy.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and patient counselling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team leader.
  • Strong ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Good organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication management.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays where necessary.
