Job Title: Business Development & Brand Communication Strategist

Location: Katampe District, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

  • The Business Development and Brand Communication Strategist will drive revenue growth and market expansion for our fintech company by securing strategic partnerships, acquiring new clients (B2B and B2C), and strengthening brand positioning in the financial technology space.
  • This hybrid role combines business development with brand strategy to increase market share, build trust in financial services, and communicate complex fintech solutions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and report on business development KPIs, pipeline health, and brand performance metrics.
  • Craft clear, compliant brand messaging across digital platforms, investor communications, and product marketing.
  • Lead pitch development, RFP responses, and high-stakes client presentations for financial institutions and corporates.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, enterprise partnerships, and market segments in fintech, banking, payments, and financial services.
  • Develop and execute brand communication strategies that build credibility, trust, and regulatory awareness.
  • Represent the company at fintech conferences, investor events, and industry forums.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and recommend brand positioning strategies that address compliance and trust.
  • Collaborate with product, compliance, marketing, and sales teams to ensure brand consistency and regulatory alignment.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis focused on fintech trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Build and nurture relationships with banks, payment providers, regulators, investors, and key industry stakeholders.

Education:

  • An MBA from a recognized institution is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certifications in fintech, finance, or marketing (e.g., CFA, CFP, CAM, Digital Marketing certifications, or equivalent) are also mandatory.

Experience:

  • 8–10 years of experience in business development, brand strategy, or marketing within fintech, banking, payments, or financial services is required.
  • A proven track record of securing enterprise clients, strategic partnerships, or investment opportunities is essential. Experience developing and executing brand campaigns in a regulated industry is necessary. Prior experience working in a fintech company is mandatory.

  • Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, target-driven, and highly regulated environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating successful business development wins and brand campaigns in financial services is essential.
  • A solid understanding of financial regulations, data privacy, and compliance requirements is essential.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in brand strategy, storytelling, and compliant messaging frameworks.
  • Proficiency in creating investor-grade presentations and commercial proposals.
  • Analytical skills with experience using CRM tools, fintech analytics platforms, and data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Project management and cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Strong business development and strategic partnership skills in financial services or fintech.
  • Creative problem solving with adaptability in a fast-changing regulatory environment.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
