Job Summary

  • The primary function of the Technical Services Manager is to take the Strategic lead for the Engineering and Energy & Fluids functions in the Brewery.
  • This includes the operational management of Environmental plant and equipment.
  • To lead related Strategic Initiatives in the Brewery, ensuring Corporate Governance for equipment and system integrity through the application of and adherence to relevant Standards and Legislation.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Maintain safe healthy and risk-free working environment
  • Manage Human Resources
  • Manage identified VA & SWEEP Initiatives
  • Business Continuity & Risk Management
  • Manage Safety, Upholding (UPP) and Cost CAPEX portfolios
  • Manage the operational requirements of the brewery Environmental function
  • Ensure manufacturing systems and instrumentation integrity
  • Ensure engineering standards compliance
  • Leads the maintenance strategy as per VPO-Maintenance Pillar
  • Manage all site projects
  • Manage financial performance

Requirements

  • 3-year appropriate tertiary qualification, i.e. B Tech: Mech or Electrical BSc Mech or Electrical
  • South African Department of Labour issued Government Certificate of Competence
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a FMCG environment
  • Direct impact is in reducing the overall cost of ZBB Maintenance package in the supply operations, whilst improving safety, reliability and quality of our products. Also directly impacts the VIC cost's negatively if usages are out of control
