About Brilliant:

Brilliant is an innovative branded products and corporate gifting company. As a full-service partner, we offer product concepting, sourcing, design, custom packaging, merch collections, company stores, touchpoint gifting, warehousing, fulfillment and distribution.

Technology is part of our DNA. Our proprietary systems give clients instantaneous access to important information and tools, including real-time inventory data, on-demand fulfillment services, and convenient 3rd party system integrations, such as Salesforce and Workday — reducing busy work and creating a seamless experience for gift givers and receivers.

What You’ll Do:

Brilliant is seeking a strategic Senior Director of Global Fulfillment and Logistics to manage our international fulfillment operations. As we continue to grow our corporate gifting, event, and merchandise fulfillment, we are looking for a leader with warehouse and fulfillment experience who brings expertise in process and systems, a hands-on approach to leadership and coaching, and passion for building workflows and driving continuous improvement. In this role, you will oversee our primary warehouse in Waukegan, IL, alongside a growing network of international 3PL partnerships.

As we are looking for a hands-on leader, this role is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days in Waukegan each week.

  • Own the fulfillment of all products that touch one of our warehouses around the globe.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for Waukegan warehouse operations to meet organizational objectives.
  • Serve as an escalation point for prospects and clients on fulfillment and logistics matters, partnering closely with our sales and account management teams.
  • Work with our International Program Manager to oversee the growing partnerships we have built with our international fulfillment partners to ensure continued performance and profitability.
  • Update our internal logistics processes, in collaboration with our Production team, to increase throughput and reduce time to fulfill.
  • Own the relationship with our array of shipping partners, ensuring compliance with their policies, securing the best service possible, and optimizing our operations logistically.
  • Enforce a zero-tolerance policy for theft and loss across the Waukegan facility and all international 3PL partners, including access controls and incident escalation procedures.
  • Establish and maintain best-practice cycle counting and quality control standards to ensure inventory accuracy and product integrity across all fulfillment locations.
  • Ensure processes and training are compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Actively monitor and optimize SLAs, KPIs, and financial performance.
  • Leverage data analytics and automation tools to optimize workflows and decision-making processes.
  • Create, actively monitor, and manage the operating budget, including expenses for labor, equipment, and supplies.
  • Coach the team to achieve optimal facility layouts based on data (e.g., item dimensions and velocity).
  • Design and modify processes to improve productivity without overburdening employees.
  • Contribute as a core member of Brilliant’s cross-functional leadership team, representing fulfillment and logistics in company-wide planning and decision-making.
  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to ensure we are delivering the best experiences for our clients and their recipients.
  • Ensure leaders effectively coach, develop, document, and monitor employee performance.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design, implement, and manage systems, including our proprietary platform, to drive performance across operations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8+ years of experience working in warehouse operations or related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management principles, and distribution operations.
  • A strong sense of client service when working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven willingness to learn and be innovative in exploring new strategies.
  • Skilled and trained in continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Physical Capabilities and Requirements:
