Job Position: Quality Control / Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Location: Gusau, Zamfara
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Develop and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor adherence to quality control procedures across all site activities.
Batching Plant & Concrete Works Oversight:
- Supervise and monitor batching plant operations to ensure accurate mix proportions and consistency.
- Review and validate concrete mix designs in line with structural requirements.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of batching plant equipment.
- Oversee production, transportation, and placement of concrete on site.
Material Inspection & Testing:
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of construction materials (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures).
- Ensure proper sampling and laboratory testing of concrete (slump tests, cube tests, compressive strength tests).
- Maintain records of all test results and ensure traceability.
Site Inspection & Quality Control:
- Perform daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Liaise with site engineers, contractors, and consultants on quality-related matters.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and test documentation.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports to management.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and handover processes.
Coordination & Training:
- Train site personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinate with consultants and third-party testing agencies where required.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 / month.
