We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Payroll Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • A Payroll Officer is a compensation and taxation specialist responsible for processing employee wages, managing deductions, and maintaining accurate payroll databases.
  • They ensure all staff are paid accurately and on time while remaining fully compliant with labor laws and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date employee databases, handle new hires/leavers, and securely store payroll records.
  • Data Processing: Collect, review, and verify employee timesheets, bonuses, and overtime hours.
  • Payroll Execution: Process end-to-end payroll, calculate tax withholdings, pension contributions, and other statutory deductions.
  • Employee Support: Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries regarding payslips, deductions, or compensation.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Generate payroll summaries, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure adherence to local tax and labor legislation.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Confidentiality: High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial and employee data.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), and spreadsheet applications like Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude and a keen eye for detail to prevent and resolve numerical discrepancies.

Salary
N100,000 - N300,000 per month.
