Job Summary
- The role ensures proper inventory control, safe handling of materials, accurate documentation, and timely distribution of supplies to various departments while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and offshore operational standards.
- The Offshore Warehouseman is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining materials, tools, equipment, and consumables on an offshore facility or vessel.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Materials Management:
- Conduct regular stock checks and inventory reconciliation.
- Label, tag, and organize materials for easy identification and retrieval.
- Verify quantities and conditions of materials against delivery notes and manifests.
- Store materials properly according to company procedures and safety requirements.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
Issuing & Distribution:
- Ensure proper documentation for all issued and returned items.
- Track movement of tools and equipment within the facility.
- Issue materials and equipment to relevant departments as requested.
- Coordinate timely delivery of materials to operational teams offshore.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Assist in preparing manifests for cargo movement between offshore and onshore locations.
- Update stock management systems and material tracking records.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records, logs, and inventory databases.
Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse and storage areas.
- Participate in safety drills, toolbox talks, and emergency response activities.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies.
- Use lifting equipment and material handling tools safely.
- Handle hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations and MSDS requirements.
Equipment & Warehouse Maintenance:
- Inspect warehouse equipment and report defects or maintenance needs.
- Monitor preservation of critical spare parts and sensitive equipment.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to avoid damage.
Required Qualifications
- Valid offshore certifications may be required, such as:
- HUET
- BOSIET
- Offshore Medical Certificate
- Good computer skill, ERP, Excel and MS word
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Previous offshore or warehouse experience is an added advantage.

- Knowledge of HSE procedures and offshore safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in offshore environments
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures

- Exposure to offshore weather and operational conditions
- Physically demanding environment
- Requires standing, lifting, and moving materials regularly.
