Job Title: Junior Accountant

About the Role

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, ensure accuracy of financial records, and assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, reports, and ledgers
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
• Support audit processes and ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Monitor expenses and assist with budget tracking

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 0–2 years of relevant experience (NYSC experience acceptable)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
