We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IS Quality Assurance, Governance & System Control

Location: Lagos

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
Quality Assurance & Governance

  • Enforce IT quality standards across projects and operations
  • Review business requirement documents and ensure control measures are built in
  • Validate test plans, UAT processes, and go-live readiness
  • Assess configurations and deployments to ensure compliance
  • Document findings, risks, and control gaps

Change Control & Configuration

  • Ensure all system changes are properly logged, assessed, and approved
  • Monitor system inventory and configuration standards
  • Review post-implementation reports and track compliance
  • Analyze system logs and file integrity alerts for unauthorized changes
  • Ensure proper logging across systems during changes
  • Service Management & Operations
  • Monitor service desk activity and incident tracking
  • Ensure SLA compliance and proper resolution timelines
  • Identify recurring issues and push long-term fixes
  • Validate service reports and operational processes

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure only authorized applications run (whitelisting)
  • Confirm timely patching of systems (within 48 hours)
  • Review system configurations, group policies, and endpoint controls
  • Ensure mobile device security processes are enforced

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on risks, findings, and fixes
  • Work with IT and business teams during changes and incidents
  • Support training and continuous improvement initiatives

Systems you’ll oversee:

  • Core Banking (Finacle)
  • Switching & Card Platforms (FEP, Mastercard, Verve)
  • E-Channels (Internet Banking, USSD, Mobile, Remita, NEFT, RTGS, etc.)
  • Oracle & MSSQL Databases
  • Windows, UNIX/Linux environments

Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT QA, system control, IT audit, or database administration
  • Certifications like CISA, CISM, ISO 27001, CEH, Oracle DBA are a strong plus

  • Zero fraud or losses from control lapses
  • Fewer preventable incidents across systems
  • Strong compliance across access, logging, and security standards
  • Clean, timely, and accurate reporting
  • Solid audit ratings and fast issue resolution.

What you should bring:

  • Solid understanding of databases (Oracle, MSSQL) and access controls
  • Familiarity with e-channels and switching platforms
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools and log analysis
  • Strong analytical and investigative mindset
  • Attention to detail (you don’t miss things)
  • Ability to work independently and stay accountable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scripting, and audit tools.
