Our hairs are carefully sourced and selected from various donors in China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines, India, Burma, Argentina.
Onyx Hair by Nelly is a fast-growing premium Nigerian hair brand with operations across Nigeria, the UK, US, and Canada. Founded by a nationally recognised entrepreneur, the business has grown rapidly — but now needs to transition from personality-driven sales to a structured, scalable revenue engine.

Job Title: Head, Sales & Marketing

The Opportunity
- We are hiring a Head of Sales & Marketing to build that system from the ground up.
- This is not a routine role.
- This is for a commercial leader who can fix broken systems, build new ones, and own revenue growth.
The Challenge (What You’re Walking Into)
Our recent internal audit identified key revenue bottlenecks:
- Heavy dependence on Instagram DMs with no structured follow-up system.
- No unified leadership across sales and marketing teams.
- Untapped B2B opportunities (salons, resellers, distributors).
- Lack of a multi-channel sales strategy beyond Instagram.
- No visibility into the sales pipeline or customer journey.
- Marketing spend not clearly tied to revenue (ROAS unclear).
- Website conversion systems not fully optimized.
Your Mandate
- Fix these. Build systems. Drive revenue.
Your Role
You will:
- Own and drive monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Build a structured sales pipeline (lead ? conversion ? repeat purchase).
- Lead expansion across website, WhatsApp, TikTok, B2B, and other channels.
- Oversee and align Sales, Customer Service, and Digital Marketing teams.
- Ensure all marketing spend is data-driven and ROI-focused.
- Build systems for customer retention and repeat sales.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
- CRM and sales pipeline fully implemented.
- WhatsApp & other sales channels activated.
- Weekly commercial performance dashboard running.
- Paid campaigns delivering minimum 3x ROAS.
- Clear strategy addressing all identified bottlenecks.
- Website conversion rate improved to minimum 2.5%.
- At least 10 qualified B2B prospects in pipeline.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Sales / Marketing (with leadership experience).
- Experience with CRM, sales pipelines, or automation tools.
- Background in e-commerce, beauty, fashion, or FMCG is a strong advantage.
- Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth.
- Experience with digital marketing (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads).
