Job Title: Head of Civil Engineering
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Reporting To: Managing Director (MD)
Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Civil Engineering to lead and manage all civil engineering projects within the organization.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning, design, execution, and delivery while ensuring quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
- This role requires a strong technical background, leadership capability, and the ability to manage multiple construction projects within timelines and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Supervise site activities to ensure projects are executed according to specifications and standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and human resources.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities on project-related matters.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure high construction standards.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, and performance evaluations for management.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and project execution.
- Manage and coordinate engineers, contractors, and site personnel.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, building regulations, and safety requirements.
- Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and construction.
- Professional certification (e.g., COREN) is an added advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
- Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 Monthly.
