Job Position: Recruitment Intern
Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Internship / NYSC Placement (Hybrid)
Reports to: Recruitment Team Lead
Role Summary
- The Recruitment Intern will support the Recruitment & Talent Solutions team in delivering end-to-end recruitment services for client organisations.
- This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle, including candidate sourcing, CV screening, interview coordination, and client communication support.
- The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organised, and interested in building a career in recruitment, human resources, or consulting.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing & Attraction:
- Support basic candidate sourcing through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and internal databases.
- Assist in posting job adverts across approved recruitment platforms.
- Help build and maintain candidate pipelines for ongoing and future client roles.
CV Screening & Shortlisting:
- Review and screen CVs against client job requirements.
- Shortlist suitable candidates under the guidance of Recruitment Specialists or Recruitment TeamLead.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and screening notes.
Interview & Assessment Coordination:
- Schedule interviews and assessments between candidates and client representatives.
- Communicate interview details, feedback timelines, and next steps to candidates.
- Support virtual and physical interview arrangements where required.
Client & Stakeholder Support:
- Assist with recruitment documentation for client roles (job descriptions, trackers, reports).
- Support the recruitment team in meeting agreed client timelines and service expectations.
- Escalate candidate or process issues appropriately.
Recruitment Administration & Reporting:
- Maintain recruitment trackers and candidate databases.
- Support offers coordination and pre-onboarding documentation (where applicable).
- Ensure recruitment records are updated in line with data protection and confidentiality standards.
Learning & Development:
- Actively learn the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle within a consulting environment.
- Participate in internal training sessions, team meetings, and feedback reviews.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement in sourcing, screening, and coordination skills.
Requirements & Qualification
- NYSC placement, or Bachelor’s Degree (recent graduate) in Sociology, Human Resources or any related field
- Curious & eager to learn recruitment, HR, consulting, or talent acquisition
- Basic proficiency in Google Workspace & Microsoft Office Tools.
- Strong communication, positive attitude, collaborative mindset and open to feedback.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, problem solving skills, proactive, reliable and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Professionalism and confidentiality with the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the internship, the Recruitment Intern will have gained practical experience in:
