Job Title: Business Development & Partnerships Officer

Locations: Benue, Kogi, Kwara , Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau

Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will actively identify prospective clients, including companies, schools, NGOs, government institutions, healthcare providers, and other organizations, present the value of the ERP solution, coordinate product demonstrations, negotiate partnership opportunities, and support clients through the subscription and onboarding process.
  • The role focuses on generating new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and expanding the company's market presence.
  • The Business Development & Partnerships Officer is responsible for driving the growth of the company's ERP platform by identifying, engaging, and converting organizations into active subscribers.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop partnership opportunities that increase market reach, generate referrals, and support business growth.
  • Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and meetings to showcase the benefits of the ERP platform and convert prospects into subscribers.
  • Represent the company at business events, networking forums, exhibitions, and stakeholder meetings to promote the ERP solution and generate qualified leads.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, follow up on prospects, prepare regular business development reports, and achieve monthly and quarterly subscription targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by engaging organizations that can benefit from the company's ERP solution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including business owners, HR managers, school administrators, and organizational leaders.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Number of new subscribers acquired.
  • Achievement of monthly and quarterly business development targets.

Required Qualification, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales or business development targets.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and partnership management tools is an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage stakeholder relationships at multiple levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in business development, sales, partnerships, marketing, or account management.
  • Experience working in a startup, technology company, social enterprise, or growth-focused organization is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic partnerships that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Existing networks within NGOs, institutions, or businesses in Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Bauchi, Taraba, or other Northeast/Northwest states is a plus
  • Strong understanding of business development, customer acquisition, and market expansion strategies.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while working effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.

Required Languages:

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in additional local languages is an added advantage.
