Job Summary

• A travel agent situated at Yaba is looking for a proactive, results-driven, and customer-focused Business Development Officer to join our travel brand.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, increasing sales, and promoting the company's travel products and services.
• This role is suitable for someone with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills who is passionate about the travel and tourism industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Prepare and submit quotations and proposals to prospective clients.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Stay informed about travel trends, airline promotions, visa requirements, and competitor activities.
• Promote and sell the company's travel packages, flight bookings, hotel reservations, visa assistance, tours, and other travel-related services.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations where necessary.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and individual clients.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and business opportunities.
• Follow up with prospective clients and maintain an active sales pipeline.

Requirements

• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Customer-oriented with excellent relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
• Proven ability to generate leads and close sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• 1 - 2 years' experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the travel, tourism, hospitality, or service industry.
• Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Tourism, Hospitality, or any related field.
• Knowledge of travel booking systems or GDS (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) is an added advantage but not mandatory.
