As we expand across key cities, we are seeking result-driven Territory Sales Developers to drive retail penetration and sales growth.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Territory Sales Developer

Location: Abuja (FCT) / Lagos / Port Harcourt - Rivers State / other key cities

Job Summary

  • The Territory Sales Developer (TSD) is responsible for driving sales volume, expanding retail coverage, and ensuring strong product visibility within assigned territories.
  • The role focuses on modern trade, pharmacies, hotels, and retail outlets, ensuring our products become the preferred healthy alternative in the market.

Key Responsibilities
Retail Penetration & Expansion:

  • Identify and onboard new retail outlets, supermarkets, pharmacies, hotels, and specialty stores.
  • Drive increased product availability and market presence within the assigned territory.

Sales Performance & Target Achievement:

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets across all product SKUs.
  • Drive both volume and value growth in assigned markets.

Customer Education & Brand Advocacy:

  • Educate retailers and consumers on product benefits (e.g., weight management, diabetes-friendly, nutritional value).
  • Promote brand adoption through effective communication.

Inventory & Stock Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure freshness using FEFO (First Expiry, First Out).
  • Coordinate timely replenishment with internal teams.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Provide insights on competitor activities, pricing, and consumer behavior.
  • Submit regular reports on field activities and performance.

Route-to-Market Execution:

  • Execute structured daily call plans to visit stores, take orders, and ensure product availability.
  • Prevent stock-outs through proactive engagement and follow-ups.

Merchandising & Visibility:

  • Ensure optimal product placement, visibility, and pricing at retail outlets.
  • Deploy and maintain POS materials to enhance brand presence and communicate health benefits.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, procurement officers, and attendants.
  • Secure preferred shelf space and consistent product stocking.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Revenue: Sales volume and value achievement.
  • Numeric Distribution: Number of new outlets carrying products.
  • Weighted Distribution: Presence in high-volume outlets.
  • Active Coverage: Number of stores placing orders within 30 days.
  • Range Selling: Number of SKUs sold per outlet.
  • Receivables Management: Timely collection and account management.

Success Factors for the Role

  • Resilience & Persuasion: Ability to drive adoption of healthier product alternatives in a competitive market.
  • Mobility & Efficiency: Ability to cover territory effectively and ensure timely product distribution.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Ability to track performance and optimize field execution using digital tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in FMCG field sales (modern trade experience is an advantage).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple outlets effectively.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of assigned territory and retail landscape.

Salary
N200,000 - N350,000 monthly (Plus Performance Incentives).
