• Lead team owning messaging backbone: Flow Builder and campaign engine.
• Drive reliability, throughput, and cost efficiency of high-volume messaging.
• Manage Messaging Platform as an internal product; set contracts and priorities.
• Own on-call rotation; incident response, blameless postmortems, reliability.
• Collaborate with platform, AI, integrations, PMs, stakeholders, and compliance.
• Recruit and hire engineers; advocate for new roles; screen candidates.

• 4+ years of leadership experience managing engineers.
• Experience mentoring staff engineers and technical contributors.
• Experience leading high-volume distributed systems (messaging, payments).
• Experience running internal platforms; manage contracts, prioritization, and on-call across teams.
• Demonstrated excellence in recruiting and onboarding engineers.
• Clear passion for people management and enabling teams to do their best work.
