Poultry Farm Supervisor

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Poultry Farm Supervisor

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Monitor feed consumption, water intake, egg production (for layers), and bird growth performance (for broilers).
• Monitor inventory of feed, medications, and poultry supplies, and report shortages.
• Coordinate vaccination, medication, and routine health programmes as directed.
• Report equipment faults, maintenance needs, and operational challenges promptly.
• Train and guide poultry attendants on proper work procedures and best practices.
• Ensure birds receive proper care and that welfare standards are maintained at all times.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Poultry Manager or Management.
• Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity, hygiene, and farm safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily records of production, mortality, medication, feed usage, and stock movement.
• Ensure poultry houses, equipment, and surrounding areas are kept clean and well maintained.
• Assist in receiving day-old chicks, transferring birds between pens, loading birds for sale, and other production activities.
• Supervise poultry attendants and assign daily tasks to ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Supervise daily poultry operations, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and bird management.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor bird health and promptly report any signs of disease, mortality, or abnormal behaviour to the Poultry Manager or Veterinarian.
