Job Position: HSE Supervisor

Job Summary


  • The HSE Supervisor is responsible for ensuring strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across petroleum operations, waste management, marine services, and haulage.
  • The role combines regulatory enforcement, risk management, staff training, and environmental protection to safeguard people, assets, and the ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • HSE Policy Enforcement: Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, Nigerian statutory regulations, and international best practices (NEBOSH, ISO, OSHA).
  • Risk Management: Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), HAZOP/HAZID studies, and risk assessments for petroleum operations, waste management, and marine services.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations of accidents, near misses, and environmental spills; prepare reports and corrective action plans.
  • Training & Awareness: Organize inductions, safety drills, toolbox talks, and continuous training for staff and contractors.
  • Environmental Compliance: Monitor pollution control measures, waste disposal practices, and environmental consultancy projects to ensure sustainability.
  • Operational Safety: Supervise haulage fleet inspections, marine vessel safety checks, and facility audits to prevent operational hazards.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, fire drills, and evacuation procedures.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE within oil & gas or related industries.
  • Professional certification such as HSE Level 3, NEBOSH, IGC, ISPON or its equivalent
  • Strong communication, problem solving, analytical thinking skills and ability to work under pressure.

Salary
N400,000 – N500,000 per month (However, the salary can be negotiated upward depending on the candidate’s experience)
