We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Housekeeping Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision & Leadership:

  • Assist in hiring, orientation, and onboarding of new housekeeping team members.
  • Lead, train, and motivate housekeeping staff (room attendants, cleaners, porters).
  • Schedule daily staff assignments to ensure efficient coverage.
  • Monitor performance and provide constructive coaching.

Quality Control:

  • Address deficiencies promptly and follow up to ensure corrective action.
  • Ensure hotel standards for presentation, comfort, and hygiene are upheld.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.

Guest Experience:

  • Respond professionally and promptly to guest requests or complaints regarding cleanliness.
  • Ensure guest preferences (e.g., pillow types, amenities) are communicated and fulfilled.
  • Maintain a visible presence in public areas to engage with guests when needed.

Inventory & Supplies Management:

  • Ensure correct storage and usage of supplies.
  • Monitor and control housekeeping inventory (linens, amenities, cleaning supplies).
  • Place timely orders to avoid shortages.

Coordination & Communication:

  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to operational planning.
  • Liaise with Maintenance to report and follow up on defects or repairs.
  • Communicate daily with Front Office for room status updates.

Training & Standards Implementation:

  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and sanitation policies.
  • Stay updated on hospitality housekeeping best practices.
  • Train staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and use of equipment.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare daily reports for the Executive Housekeeper or Operations Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of room inspections, lost and found items, maintenance issues, and staff performance.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess an OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree with 4 years experience.
  • Hospitality experienced applicants only.
