Head of Marketing in a Dynamic Licensed Financial Lending Institution

Role Summary

• This strategic leadership role requires a seasoned financial marketer responsible for driving deposit mobilization, building institutional trust, and attracting High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) to invest in Surecredit’s wealth management products.
• The successful candidate will own a strict monthly fundraising target of N500,000,000 (Five Hundred Million Naira) and must possess the end-to-end technical capability to design and develop premium investment collateral from scratch.
• Our client is looking for Head of Marketing for immediate employment. The Head of Marketing will spearhead our corporate marketing, investor relations, and capital mobilization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & HNWI Acquisition:

• Pitch and secure high-ticket investments specifically for Surecredit’s Private Placement Notes and Bilateral Asset Co-Ownership Scheme.
• Identify, approach, and cultivate long-term relationships with HNWIs, family offices, corporate treasurers, and affluent professionals across Lagos.
• Achieve a strict monthly capital mobilization target of N500 million through aggressive direct marketing and relationship management.
• Plan and host exclusive, intimate wealth management events and networking roundtables in premium Lagos locations to build trust and close deals.

Collateral & Content Creation:

• Design, write, and produce high-end investment collateral entirely from scratch, including comprehensive pitch decks, product fact sheets, and investor brochures.
• Collaborate with legal and finance teams to draft clear, compelling, and legally sound Term Sheets and investor contracts.
• Develop financial storytelling narratives that simplify complex asset structures into transparent, low-risk, high-return value propositions for investors.

Strategic Marketing & Brand Positioning:

• Ensure all investment marketing materials strictly adhere to Lagos State lending regulations and relevant financial compliance guidelines.
• Position Surecredit as a premier, highly secure choice for wealth preservation and growth within the Lagos financial landscape.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy focused on deposit mobilization and corporate investment product positioning.

Leadership & Portfolio Management:

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of investment marketers and business development officers to scale the fundraising pipeline.
• Implement and manage a robust CRM system to track investor interactions, follow-ups, and capital fulfillment pipelines.
• Manage the end-to-end investor lifecycle, providing regular performance reporting and ensuring high retention and rollover rates.

Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA, CFA, or professional financial marketing certification is an added advantage.
• Track Record: Proven history of consistently meeting or exceeding multi-million Naira monthly fundraising/deposit mobilization targets.
• Experience: 7–10 years of senior marketing or business development experience in the Nigerian financial services sector (e.g., Investment Banking, Asset Management, Finance Houses, or Tier-1 Microfinance).

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Network: An active, pre-existing database of HNWIs, corporate executives, and affluent professionals within Lagos.
• Communication: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
• Content Mastery: Proficient in creating executive-ready slide decks (PowerPoint/Canva) and drafting professional term sheets.
• Financial Literacy: Deep understanding of structured finance products, asset-backed investments, private placements, and the mechanics of bilateral co-ownership.
