Job Position: Debt Recovery & Guarantor Relations Officer

Job Summary

• We are seeking a diligent and results-oriented Collections & Guarantor Follow-Up Officer to manage the follow-up and recovery of outstanding employee obligations.
• The role involves engaging employees and guarantors, tracking repayment commitments, maintaining accurate recovery records and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up with employees on outstanding debts and financial obligations.
• Contact and follow up with guarantors where required.
• Track repayment commitments and ensure timely follow-up on overdue payments.
• Maintain accurate records of outstanding debts, payments and recovery status.
• Document all recovery activities, communications and payment commitments.
• Escalate unresolved or disputed cases to the appropriate HR/Management team.
• Reconcile recovered payments and keep recovery records up to date.
• Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts, recoveries and pending cases.
• Handle employee and guarantor information with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ensure recovery activities are carried out in line with approved company processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of an OND / HND / Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience in debt recovery, credit control, customer service or HR is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and follow-up skills.
• Good attention to detail and record-keeping ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Professional, persistent and able to handle difficult conversations appropriately.
