About the Role
- This is a vital position to support network unit to do planning and providing technical solutions for connecting cell sites and enterprise customer locations.
- This person will be interacting with the Partners? teams? very extensively. Robust, flexible and state of art fiber and microwave transmission network planning & delivery is the essence of the role.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for deployment of transmission links through microwave or fiber as per the solution document of a project
- Assessing material availability for each project and escalating the issues for shortages well in advance.
- Escalating the problems and bottlenecks as soon as it is noticed.
- Interfacing with the customers for handover and integration with customer?s systems
- Ensure end to end testing is completed with the customer and links are handed over to customers with formal sign-off.
- Circulating daily & weekly progress reports as required
- Visiting sites and customers as required
- Adherence to the plan as per solution document
- Coordinating with internal teams and customers for RFI and verifying it before giving a site to partners of link installations
- Coordinating with partners for quality and timely deployment
- Prepare Commissioning & AT procedure for the transmission projects
- Checking AT of the last mile links, IP networks, including fiber & DXX as per agreed procedure with the customer.
- Troubleshooting with the partners in case of technical problems.
Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Diploma in Electronics Engineering
Relevant Experience & Functional / Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience
- Relevant experience in installation & operations of enterprise network domains.
- Must know transmission equipment?s operations and installation procedures
- Knowledge of IP addressing, routers, switches, aggregators, etc.
- Sound knowledge of Transmission of Mobile & Enterprise Network - Installation, integration, testing and operations.
- Troubleshooting skills
