Job Summary
- We are seeking a proactive and experienced Supermarket Supervisor to oversee daily store operations, ensure excellent customer service, and manage staff performance.
- The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and capable of maintaining smooth operations while driving sales and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including cashiers and sales reps.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times.
- Monitor daily sales, transactions, and store performance.
- Oversee cash handling processes and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked, properly arranged, and products are correctly priced.
- Manage inventory levels, track stock movement, and report low-stock or out-of-stock items.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards.
- Train, guide, and evaluate staff performance to improve productivity.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Support loss prevention by monitoring theft, damages, and discrepancies.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a supermarket or retail environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of inventory management and retail operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
