African Steel Mills Nigeria Limited is a leading Manufacturer and Supplier of Steel Products, including Steel Bars.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Lagos
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager / Operations Manager

Job Purpose

• The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily fabrication operations, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.
• The role involves supervising shop floor employees, coordinating workflow, maintaining equipment efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations Management:

• Supervise daily fabrication activities (cutting, welding, assembly, finishing, etc.).
• Minimize downtime and eliminate production bottlenecks.
• Ensure proper material usage and reduce waste.
• Ensure production schedules are met within set timelines.
• Monitor workflow and allocate manpower effectively.

Team Leadership & Supervision:

• Lead, motivate, and manage production staff.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and shift briefings.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance.
• Identify training needs and support employee development.

• Enforce company policies and procedures.

Quality Control:

• Ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Work closely with QA/QC team to resolve defects and non-conformities.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
