Role Summary

  • This role requires a strong leader with experience in FMCG, beauty, skincare, retail, e­commerce, or consumer goods environments, with the ability to manage both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
  • Our client is seeking a highly strategic, detail-oriented, and execution-driven Operations & Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize the company’s end-to-end operational and supply chain activities across retail, e-commerce, warehousing, procurement, fulfillment, and distribution channels.
  • The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, inventory availability, cost optimization, demand planning, and seamless coordination between departments to support the company’s aggressive growth and expansion objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics.
  • Manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, logistics providers, and third-party partners.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and operational bottlenecks.

Inventory & Warehouse Management:

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels across stores, warehouses, and fulfillment centers.
  • Coordinate regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Implement inventory control systems to minimize stock discrepancies, wastage, and stockouts.
  • Monitor stock movement, replenishment cycles, and inventory forecasting.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with operational, safety, and quality standards.

Fulfillment & Logistics:

  • Oversee order fulfillment processes across retail and e-commerce channels.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch and delivery of customer orders.
  • Coordinate with customer service teams on fulfillment-related escalations.
  • Develop strategies to improve delivery efficiency and reduce logistics costs.
  • Monitor logistics performance metrics including delivery timelines, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Operations Management:

  • Develop and implement SOPs, operational frameworks, and process improvements.
  • Ensure effective coordination between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and Inventory teams.
  • Drive operational excellence across all operational touchpoints within the business.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and prepare periodic operational performance reports.
  • Support expansion initiatives including new stores, stockist onboarding, and regional expansion projects.

Demand Planning & Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to forecast demand and align inventory planning accordingly.
  • Ensure inventory investment aligns with projected sales and business objectives.
  • Analyze sales trends, historical data, and market insights to improve forecasting accuracy.

Procurement & Vendor Management:

  • Ensure procurement processes align with company budgets and operational goals.
  • Evaluate vendors based on quality, pricing, timelines, and reliability.
  • Identify alternative sourcing opportunities to reduce dependency risks.
  • Lead procurement planning and supplier negotiations.

Performance Management & Reporting:

  • Monitor team productivity, operational efficiency, and execution timelines.
  • Ensure accountability and performance discipline across operations teams.
  • Develop and track operational KPIs across departments.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports for management review.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Implement controls to safeguard company inventory, assets, and operational data.
  • Monitor operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal operational policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The Operations & Supply Chain Manager will be measured on:

  • Inventory availability rate
  • Reduction in stockouts and operational losses
  • Execution of operational projects and timelines
  • Supplier performance and procurement timelines
  • Warehouse efficiency
  • Logistics and operational cost efficiency
  • Order fulfillment turnaround time
  • Stock accuracy and reconciliation

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Prior experience within:
    • Beauty & Skincare
    • Retail
    • Consumer Goods environments are highly preferred.
    • E-commerce
    • FMCG
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing warehouse, procurement, fulfillment, and logistics operations.
  • 5–8 years of experience in operations and supply chain management.
  • Professional certifications such as:
    • PMP
    • Lean Six Sigma arean added advantage.
    • CIPS
    • APICS
