Summary

• We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Associate with 1–3 years' Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

• Advise clients on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and general legal matters.
• Manage litigation matters, including preparing court processes, filing court documents, and attending court proceedings where required.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and advisory notes.
• Stay abreast of changes in legislation, regulations, and relevant legal precedents.
• Support corporate transactions, due diligence exercises, and company secretarial matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates to develop practical legal solutions for clients.
• Maintain accurate case files, legal documentation, and matter progress reports.
• Ensure clients' compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Practical experience in litigation, corporate, and/or commercial legal practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
• 1 - 3 years' Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in a reputable law firm.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
• LL.B and B.L. qualifications with membership of the Nigerian Bar.
